Black Book

DRAWINGS BY THE ARTIST OF THE 2022 LYNLAKE STREET ART SERIES

The Black Book is essential to the Street or Graffiti artist, a prized possession. The Black Book is where the artist practices styles and works through their creative process. Artists actively seek other artists to “piece” or “sign” each other’s books. In doing so, artist build collections of works by their peers. The artists are the historians of the street art movement. This exhibition captures a "Black Book" of this year’s participating artists in the LynLake Street Art Series. This exhibition deconstructs the book, arranging the drawings relationally over a large gallery wall. Providing the viewer the otherwise unavailable experience of the artist’s black book.  Through August 8th. Planned Parenthood Gallery Minneapolis.

Black Book online gallery available here.

Support the artists and support the festival, drawings are available for purchase at $150.00 each.
